At the New Horizons Ranch in California, Saedra Robbins and widower single dad Cabe Jensen plan the wedding of her best friend Trent Anderson to his BFF Alana McClintock. However, three obstacles hinder finalizing the arrangements. Cabe detests Saedra for reminding him of his late wife Kim and bringing her cat-attitude feline Ramses to stay with her at his ranch. They have only two weeks before the nuptials with no place locally large enough to host the gala in winter. Finally the two wedding headliners are away visiting his family.

Cabe’s teenage daughter Rana offers advice to Saedra and soon the pair bond. Rana pushes her dad and Saedra to spend time together as she thinks their guest is good for her father and for that matter her. She coaxes her father to chauffeur the visitor and into decorating the house for Christmas for the first time since Kim died.

This is a warm second chance (for him) holiday romance that focuses on a grieving adult fearing to move on towards a new love. The lead couple is a nice paring, but Rana is too much Machiavellian matchmaker.
